Below are photographs that show a counting formative that I created using GoFormative. This website allows teachers to create online formatives using a variety of question formats. The teacher can create multiple choice, short answer, and true and false type of questions. GoFormative also allows the teacher to embed YouTube videos and documents that they have created. This allows the teacher to now create more engaging formatives for the students to take. The students are now able to watch a video that is already embedded within their formative, and then comment or answer questions about what they just watched. I did use the formative I created with some of the students in my kindergarten class. I did find the website was very easy to navigate and my students were engaged for the formative. The only downside that I found to this website was that each student had to create an account with an email. This is something that is not realistic for kindergarten students. In the future, I would like to give this another try and already have the user names and passwords created ahead of time for each student.
